Windsor’s communication center is staffed 24 hours a day by emergency medical dispatchers. Our computerized dispatch system enables us to deliver prompt and efficient service to our customers. We maintain three separate communication systems in order to insure constant communications with our vehicles.

Our computer-aided dispatch system has a mapping program which enables us to track our vehicles over our coverage area in real time. We are able to locate the closest available unit to dispatch and to provide prompt and accurate response times "When Time and Performance Count."

The vehicle transmits a status indication which is unique to the activity the vehicle is engaged in. Six indications of vehicle availability, "EnRoute," "On Scene," "Transporting," "Destination," "Clear," and "Emergency" now allows us to utilize our fleet at its fullest potential. At any given time we are able to track the location and status of the vehicle, direction and speed of travel.
